What is National Night Out?

the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office hosts an annual National Night Out block party at City Hall during late summer.  National Night Out (NNO) is an opportunity for Deltona’s community to get to know law enforcement officers and others that work to make our community a safer place. NNO also encourages crime and drug prevention awareness and generates local support for and participation in, local anti-crime programs. At the event you are likely to see demonstrations by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office’s K-9, Motors and SWAT teams. Additionally, different companies and organizations operate booths with information for families, residents and businesses.  These venues help create support for local anti-crime programs, and police-community partnerships.  The ultimate message: Deltona residents are organized and fighting back against crime.
