Tell me another fun fact

Deltona’s first library was created in October of 1966 by the Deltona Garden club. The new library was located at the Little red schoolhouse which is now located at the old community center on Lakeshore drive.

When was Deltona founded?

In 1962, the Miami-based Mackle brothers bought 17,203 acres, filed a planned unit development for a community of 35,143 lots and named the area Deltona Lakes. On November 18, 1962, Deltona officially opened its doors in a ribbon cutting ceremony where thousands of locals participated.
