How do I apply for assistance under the Owner Occupied Home Repair program?
You will need to complete a Pre-Screen which is located on our website. You can also obtain a Pre-Screen from the City Hall located at 2345 Providence Blvd in Deltona.
How long does the Owner Occupied Home Repair process take?
The Owner Occupied Home Repair Program employs a first come, first complete, first serve policy. The Application process will take approximately 60 days. The final approval process should take an additional 30 to 45 days (dependent upon how complete your application and documentation is at time of submission). Incomplete applications could cause additional delays. The total process (including repairs) could take 6 to 12 months. We will continue to process applications until all of the funds have been encumbered.
Does the City of Deltona Administer a Housing Choice Voucher Program, (Section 8)?
No, but you can contact Volusia County at one of their four Public Housing Authorities. In addition to the Housing Choice Voucher, many Public Housing Authorities offer public housing units. Volusia County Housing Authority’s phone number is 386-736-5955.
Does the City of Deltona offer Rental Assistance?

What type of repairs are offered in the Owner Occupied Repair Program?
Septic systems, roof leaks, plumbing problems, broken doors, windows, HVAC and any other Code, health & safety issues.
How can I be eligible for the Owner Occupied Repairs?
You must meet income requirements. You must be a resident of the City of Deltona. You must have a clear title to your home. Your mortgage payment is current. Your property taxes are paid to date. You reside in your home year-round.
What if there’s more than one owner on the Deed?
All owners on the Deed will be required to be on the application.
What if I decide to see the house before the term of the 2nd Mortgage is due?
The full amount of the second mortgage shall be due on sale or lease, if the sale, lease, transfer or refinancing occurs in less than fifteen (15) years.
